Plant it Forward.

$100 doesn't go terribly far in today's world, but goodwill and sincere efforts will take you a lon
g way.

Though it may be quite a blatant swipe from a movie, the concept remains no less valid. Plant it Forward.

I'd take my $100 down to the local Nursery or Tree Farm and buy up a few quick-growing and easily sustained trees of a reasonably mature state. Then, I'd simply drop 3 of my neighbours houses, tell them that I'm planting it for them, and ask them to recommend a spot.

The only stipulation would be simple. Plant it Forward.

It wouldn't necessarily have to be a tree, as some of my neighbours would break themselves while trying to plant one, but any impactful plant that they can get, that makes the air cleaner and doesn't need huge amounts of water.

They have to get, and plant, 3 of them and then get those folks to do the same.

The idea is that, in 20 years when my children are just gaining their way in the "grown-up" world, it'll be greener and the air will be cleaner. All because of a hundred bucks, and a few trees.
